The historic Sri Ramalingeshwara Swamy Temple atop Keesaragutta hill is set to undergo comprehensive heritage preservation and pilgrim amenity upgrades under new government initiatives.

Archaeological experts and temple administration officials have announced plans to restore ancient stone mandapams, preserve 4th-5th century Vishnukundin dynasty brick structures, and enhance queuing facilities for the annual Maha Shivaratri festival. Environmental conservation around the surrounding hillocks is also a key priority.
